I visited Simon recently for a routine GI endoscopy. Simon also arranged for an ultrasound for suspected gall stones. The gallstones were found but the ultrasound also identified another problem. A further scan was arranged and a biopsy. I will be forever grateful to Simon and his team as I commence chemo shortly at the Christie. I cannot recommend him more highly.

I recently had a consultation with Simon where I found he listened attentively to me and had a very caring manner. Following this consultation I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy carried out under sedation by Simon and his team. I have to say that, oddly, I enjoyed this procedure due to the way it was carefully carried out. I have absolutely no recollection of the endoscopy and awoke following this to watch my intestines on screen. A rather interesting hour. I suffered no ill effects afterwards. My husband and I have both seen Simon prior to this with abdominal pain. My husband’s GP had referred him in with what he thought was diverticulitis to be told by Simon it was kidney stones. I arrived presenting with abdominal pain to be told the area of concern was in fact due to ovarian problems. We were both referred to the appropriate consultants by Simon. Of course his diagnosis was correct on both occasions and we were both very happy with the consultants we had been referred to see. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this gentleman as I am sure you will be quite happy with his diagnostic skills and also his skill with the procedures of endoscopy and colonoscopy.

Dr Campbell is very approachable and puts you at ease immediately. He is very professional, knowledgeable and extremely thorough. He listens very carefully and attentively to the issues you are facing and his approach is very caring. He is determined to establish the cause of any problems you are having and carefully considers the plan of action and involves you fully in the process. Additionally I found him to be a very calming influence when undergoing procedures. He is able to arrange procedures and appointments in a very timely fashion and liaises with other specialists who need to be kept in the loop. I have been very impressed by Dr Campbell and would without a doubt recommend him to any of my friends or family who may require to see an outstanding gastroenterologist. I must also compliment Sarah for her friendly and organised approach when I ring her to arrange appointments etc I am extremely grateful for all that Dr Campbell has done and continues to do for me. Thank you so much.
